Enrichment Grades K-8 One major goal the PTO sets for itself each year is to provide funding for grade level and school wide enrichment programming which build upon classroom themes and curriculums. The activities are wide and varied, ranging from theater presentations and museum trips to visiting authors as well as assisting with busing. Below, by category, is a breakdown of these expenditures.
Ruth’s Reusable Resources The MSAD 51 PTO would like to announce the funding of membership to Ruth’s Reusable Resources for our teachers at all schools, grades K-12, within our district for the 2009-10 school year. Membership will run from August 2009 – June 2010. Ruth’s Reusable Resources is a non-profit resource center where businesses can donate their unwanted surplus supplies, and school districts can join via annual membership fee to have their teacher’s go in and shop for free. RRR’s is located in Portland at 39 Blueberry Rd. For more information please visit www.ruths.org
Box Tops for Education Did you know clipping and donating the Box Tops for Education Logos from your grocery items means cash for our schools? It is very simple, and we have earned thousands of dollars to send our children on great field trips, fund author visits to our schools, and provide materials to enhance the curriculum in the classroom. We need your help! Please print off a collection sheet and continue to collect and save box tops during your summer break. A drawing will be held for complete submitted sheets in September. read more
