PTO Green Team

The goal of the PTO Green Team is to assist MSAD 51 in developing and implementing Green Initiatives in order to reduce waste and support individual teachers goals to incorporate environmental education into their curriculum where requested.

 Objectives:

1.  Work toward establishment of a Green Team for MSAD 51 as measured by the existence of The Team.  This may simply be a group of PTO members initially.

 2.  Evaluate and implement improvements (if warranted) in basic paper recycling in each MSAD 51 building as measured by a document detailing the paper recycling procedure in each building and suggestions for improvement.   

 3.  Educate the MSAD 51 community about the recycling programs that currently exist in the schools.

 4.  Create an ongoing list of low cost/ high impact offerings for teachers in support of Green Initiatives as measured by the existence and distribution of the list.
